Hi,

I'm looking for the mod illuminated windows version 1.2 or 1.3(beta).
Unfortunately google didn't found what I was looking for and
fileplanet only offers version 1.0. I guess there was some bug fixes
or script enhancements in the later versions...
Does anyone have that mod or does anyone know where I can get it?

thanks in advance

I couldn't find it as well, but I can offer you an alternative:
"Windows Glow" by Max a.k.a ~Nobody~

It basically does the same job for Vvardenfell, but it works by
replacing static window elements with activators instead of adding
lights.

Thank you for that information! I already have that plugin. I read
that Illuminated Windows is more athmospheric because the light is
turned on and out occasionally and you can sometimes see the jitter of
a candle "through" the window.

Which benefit / difference does using activators make. Is that a
performance gain?

In "Windows Glow", lights are turned on and off only according to
gametime: On the outside, lights are turned on at night and turned
off at daytime. Lights on the inside are turned on/off vice versa.
The mod makes lights flicker as well.
"Illuminated Windows" does the same thing. But in addition, it lights
some windows (merely 62 if I counted correctly) only on a random basis.
Affected are all windows with "1DA_Rand2_lightscript" attached.
If those 62 windows are reason enough to prefer "Illuminated Windows"
is a matter of taste.
Concerning the occasional candles: I have just taken a good look at
"Illuminated Windows" v1.0 and haven't found anything like that.
Maybe they were added in later versions.

There's no immediate benefit. The only thing I'm worried about is, that
according to the readme file, "Modmans Windowlights is incorporated
into this mod". I remember, that a friend of mine experienced this mod
fall victim to massive object doubling. In the end it went so bad that
he couldn't move at all in Balmora, because there weren't only a couple
dozen lights present but a couple hundred lights. He finally had to
disable "Window Lights" in order to continue playing. I have never
experienced anything like that with "Windows Glow".

However, if you still want to try the mod, you should contact its
author "Dark Angel" directly by writing to the eMail address provided
within "Illuminated Windows'" readme file.
