Hmmm... Found this info on Morrowind Summit. Was wondering if anyone
has ever tried somethig like this and did it work?

=====================================================================

How to Use Mods/Plugins with Morrowind

This requires that you have a mod chip. I recommend something you can
turn off so you can play on xbox live. This mod chip is so simple to
install anyone can do it.

Ok since this is not mod chips for dummies I'll get to the good stuff.

Morrowind (Original)

For this you need to put your esp/esm files in the TDATA folder.

/E/TDATA/42530001/

I never figured out how to use Meshes and Textures with this game.
So if you have those folders and most mods do you can't use the mod.
Somebody could play around with this and post results. But I am not
going to because everything works with Game of the Year.

Morrowind Game of the Year

Somebody changed where the game looks for mods.

It is now /Y/data files/ and /Z/data files/.

You may need to remove references to Tribunal and Bloodmoon because
Morrowind GotY is stored in Morrowind.esm only. Use TESDTK to remove
dependencies. Go here http://members.optusnet.com.au/argent2/ click
downloads.

This works exactly like adding a mod to the data files folder on the
PC Game just drop your Icons, Meshes, and Textures folders and your
esms and esps and it will work perfectly.

Bugs
Large Mods like Giants Ultimate 50mb do not work because xbox does not
have enough RAM to handle it.

Hmmm. I've been meaning to get a mod chip for my xbox and I was pretty
sure it might work after that. Nice to get confirmation. :)

There is another way around it too, though I think the xbox might not
have quite enough power for that: Get a mod, Install Linux for xbox,
install one of the many programs that allow you to run windows programs
on linux, install Morrowind and your mods, go play.

There are also PSx emulators on Linux so you could play PSx games on
xbox while running Linux :P But so many programs on the back I doubt it
would work too well. Have to wait for Xbox2 to come around. :D

Yup, works like a charm. I use abandoned flat mod as well as a few other
minor mods on my GOTY. Works on the ordinary game also. For best results,
copy the game onto the hard drive of the Xbox. Mikas suggestion with Linux
running a windows emulator is interesting, but it doesnt work. There are no
graphics drivers available for the chipset in the Xbox.

Ok - just to be clear, you copied the unzipped PC mod to the directory
specified on the XBox and the game just started using it? That is -
you didn't have to modify any config file to make the game load the
mod?
